What made you want to be a lawyer?
It’s really simple – I want to help people solve their problems. It makes both my client and me very happy when we come up with a solution together!
What do you want your law firm to be known for?
I want my firm to be known for compassionate problem-solving. Lawyers are generally a service that people need when something is going wrong in their lives. I want to help my clients get through the rough patch.
Why Grand Rapids?
I’m originally from Traverse City, and I love it there in the summer, but there’s so much more to do in Grand Rapids year-round.
What is the best part about being a lawyer?
The best part about being a lawyer is knowing that I’ve made a positive difference in someone else’s life.
What do you think about your partner, Christine Cameron?
Christine is an all-round great person. She is smart, professional, fun, and a wonderful advocate!
What makes you special?
My hair (just kidding). My ability to laugh at myself and not take life too seriously makes me special.
What is one thing that you would like your clients to know?
I’m on your side! Even if what I’m saying to you is not what you want to hear, it’s something you will need to hear. I’m here to help you get through this.
What does success mean to you?
Success means being happy and proud of the accomplishments in my life.
What are 3 things on your bucket list?
I would love to learn how to scuba dive, hike at St. Lucia in the Caribbean, and perform in a musical.
What do you do for fun?
Everything! I love karaoke, dancing, hiking, swimming, wakeboarding, going to musicals, watching the Detroit Tigers, and lots of other activities.
What is your education and background?
I went to Ferris State University for undergrad and Western Michigan University Cooley Law School for my law degree. I’ve wanted to be a lawyer for as long as I can remember so I went straight from Ferris to Cooley.
